Dept/ Role
Chair, Downtown Squamish BIA & Branding Committee Leader

As Chair of the Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Area (BIA) and leader of its branding committee, I spearheaded comprehensive initiatives to enhance the downtown core experience and drive revitalization.

Our strategy included community engagement, hosting strategic planning sessions, and implementing specific branding efforts such as updating signage, organizing events, fostering stakeholder partnerships, leveraging digital media, beautifying streetscapes with planters, and revitalizing public seating areas. We also introduced the innovative "Passport to Shop and Win" program to incentivize local engagement.

My role extended to active participation in legislative changes, where I collaborated with the District of Squamish on the creation of a ‘parking stall patios’ bylaw and modernized sidewalk regulations, enabling merchants to display signage and merchandise outdoors.

Through strategic vision and collaborative action, our committee significantly transformed the downtown landscape, fostering a vibrant local economy.
